Human-made policy

Everything here is made by people.

SoundHive doesn't allow AI-generated or AI-assisted creative work of any kind. When you listen or buy here, you're supporting a person who made it.

Not allowed

  • No AI-generated music, vocals, instruments, samples or loops
  • No lyrics written or edited with AI
  • No AI mastering services, and no auto-mastering or auto-mix assistants (such as Ozone Master Assistant or Neutron Mix Assistant)
  • No AI stem separation, in any tool
  • No AI-generated or AI-edited cover art or images

Allowed

  • Instruments, microphones and recording software
  • Standard plugins: EQ, compression, reverb and effects
  • Auto-Tune and pitch editing
  • Repair tools like iZotope RX for removing noise, clicks and hum
  • iZotope Ozone and Neutron, used manually

How we keep it human

  1. Every artist signs a statement with each release and tells us how it was made.
  2. A person reviews every release before anyone else can hear it.
  3. We may ask for proof: project files, stems, or studio photos or video. AI tools can't fake a real session.
  4. Breaking the policy means the release is removed and the account is banned.

Draft policy. Have a lawyer review the final wording before launch.
